Mark Craig MRPharmS, BSc (Hons), Dip Clin Pharm.

Registered as a pharmacist specialising in Critical Care (Intensive Care and Coronary Care) and Pain control, Mark has extensive medical knowledge spanning endocrine (diabetes and thyroid disease), gastro-enterology (IBS and alcoholic liver disease), renal (dialysis), respiratory (asthma and emphysema) and rheumatology (arthritis), as well as surgical pharmacy experience in general surgery, orthopedics (elective and trauma), ophthalmology and urology.

Mark has additionally trained in Holistic therapies, being registered with the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners, and being certified in: Full Body Massage, Aromatherapy / Essential Oils, Reflexology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy and Time-Line Therapy.

Spending 4 years at St Helier Hospital, Carshalton, covering all the surgical disciplines, general surgery, urology, orthopedics and ophthalmology, attending regular twice weekly consultant ward rounds in each of these, Mark also maintained an input into medical disciplines, attending a regular gastro-enterology & rheumatology and later endocrinology consultant ward round once a week, as well as cross covering both general medical and cardiology wards, as well as the tertiary renal unit, as needed. Within 2 years, Mark additionally had responsibility for A&E / admissions for 1 year, and then the intensive care unit for just over 1 year, before moving onto Mayday University Hospital, Croydon in May 2002 to specialize further as a critical care pharmacist, during which time, he provided cross-cover for the neonatal special care baby unit amongst others, a post he held for an additional 4 and a half years until leaving to work as a locum in October 2006.

Amongst other responsibilities Mark has acted as a tutor for pharmacists undertaking either the University of Brighton post-graduate clinical therapeutic modules, or the London School of Pharmacy post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. Mark has also acted as a CPD facilitator.
